Half-Full

Pink, red, mauve, crimson, scarlet, maroon, and garnet. What do these colors have in common besides shades of red? Well, they have been popularly known to be the colors you see on a flower called a rose. People used to say "Everything is coming up roses" when many things in their lives were working out great. They also used to say when you look at the world with rose colored glasses it meant you saw the brighter side of things. Looking at the world with rose colored glasses sure can paint a pretty picture. But this is only "half" of the story! When you begin to understand how to think in an optimistic, or more positive way you begin to see life's troubles and worries in a different light. This helps to open up a world "full" of colorful possibilities that you can share.

I write poetry for the delight and"stubborn gladness" of it.
When life can be so overwhelming and brutal to the senses and spirit, nature can heal and inspire me to capture the moment. Whether it be through photographs, poetry, or paintings, creativity gracefully flows through me.

This is a product of my being brave, seeking the richness and wonders in the world, and fighting back against the forces that try to dim my light. These photographs are a tribute to my beautiful experiences in New England.

My poems are elaborate excerpts from my inner reflections and a call to continue thriving in the art of awareness.
